Lynn Lyle Hayes, 62, of Dorchester, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 after a brief illness.
Born on December 5, 1951, in Portage, Wisconsin, he was the son of Lyle and Sharon (McCarthy) Hayes. Lynn was raised in Oxford, WI, graduating from the Westfield High School. Shortly after graduation, Lynn enlisted with the Air National Guard and became a career guardsman. He served with honor and courage in Iraq during the Iraq War and retired from active duty in 2007 with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant.
In his life Lynn was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman. He loved hunting Turkey, Deer, and Bear. He was a proud, devoted father to his two daughters, and cherished time spent with his grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his father, Lyle Hayes.
Lynn is survived by his wife, Tracey L. Hayes, of North Woodstock; two daughters, Katie L. Kenison and husband Matthew, of Manchester, Lisa Hayes and significant other Jacob Dufresne, of Bristol; four grandchildren, Nathan, Lee, Wyatt, and Montgomery; mother, Sharon Hayes, of Westfield, WI; sister, Linda Danielski and husband Randy, of Milwaukee, WI. Lynn is also survived by many extended family members throughout New Hampshire.
