Louise Faxon Laplante

Moultonborough, NH-- Louise Faxon (Hutchins) LaPlante, 96, of Moultonborough passed away on October 25, 2023, at Concord Hospital of Laconia, where she was lovingly attended to by her children.
Louise was born at home in Meredith, NH to parents Alpheus F. Hutchins and Lura B. (Wheeler) Hutchins and spent nearly her entire life in New Hampshire. Valedictorian of her Meredith High School class, she attended Keene State College and studied nursing before marrying US Navy veteran Richard LaPlante of Center Harbor on October 12, 1947, at the family home at Spindle Point Farm in Meredith. They were married nearly 66 years prior to his passing in May 2013.
Dedicated to family, Louise undertook extensive genealogical research, resulting in her induction into the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) in 2001, ensuring the eligibility of her daughter and granddaughters. In addition to being a wonderful mother, Louise worked outside the home at jobs including cashier at E.M. Heath’s in Center Harbor and accountant at Hart Motor Company in Wolfeboro. Her passions were hiking (member of the “Four Thousand Footers” club), gardening, knitting, reading and winemaking.
Louise is predeceased by her brother Raymond Hutchins of Meredith, NH, sister Marjorie (Hutchins) Cavanaugh formerly of Meredith, NH and brother Alpheus Hutchins Jr. of Meredith, NH.
Louise is survived by her four children, 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren: Cathleen Everbeck of Fitchburg, MA and husband Robert and their daughter Kristie Langtry (and husband Chris and sons Zachary and Alexander); Richard LaPlante Jr. of Vero, Beach, FL and wife Mary Ann and daughter Andrea Dube (and husband Keith and sons Ryan and Kyle); Roland LaPlante of Frazer, PA and wife Anne and their children Todd LaPlante, Ashley Boyke (and husband Ted and children Molly, Annie, Charlotte and Henry), Reed LaPlante (and wife Katie and children Avery, Lilly and Asher), and Whitney Elliot (and husband Patrick and children Nolan, Peter and Alice); Raymond LaPlante of Fremont, NH and wife Gwen and children Jason LaPlante (and partner Andrea Powell and their children Zoe and Tailynn), Jeremy LaPlante (1977 - 1998) and Danielle LaPlante and son Caleb.
Louise is interred next to her beloved husband in Red Hill cemetery but will live in our hearts forever.
