Louise L. Gunter (Arel),88, of Thornton, NH, passed away peacefully at home on September 24th, 2023.
Louise was born in Manchester, NH on June 4th ,1935 to the late Roland and Lilienne Arel (Nadeau). She graduated with honors from West High in Manchester, NH in 1954.
Louise worked for Traveler’s Insurance Company, Employment Security for Manchester and then worked in banking for 27 years where she retired from Commercial Bank and Trust of Wilmington, MA in 1991.
Louise married the now late Fred L Gunter in 1978 and after retirement they moved to Thornton, NH. They spent 44 happy years together where they enjoyed traveling the USA and Europe and wintered in New Smyrna Beach, FL.
Louise is predeceased by her daughter Kathleen and leaves her daughter Linda Tellier (Lavery), her stepdaughter Susan McCarthy (Gunter), her grandchildren Leanne Tellier and Trevor McGuire and her step grandchildren Conor McCarthy, the late Shea McCarthy and Bridget McCarthy.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. Matthew Church Holy Trinity Parish in Plymouth, NH on Tuesday October 10th at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Pemi-Baker Hospice of Plymouth, NH.
