Lois Gertrude Minnon, 84, of Ellsworth, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Lois was born in Beebe River, Campton, on January 29, 1929, the daughter of Eldon and Gertrude (Smith) Westover. She graduated from Plymouth High School, Class of '46 as class secretary.
Lois and her late husband Howard were residents of Plymouth for many years; while living there she was employed with the Plymouth School System, working in the Cafeteria.
After moving to Ellsworth in the early '70's she worked at Sawyers Jewelry, in Plymouth, and retired in 1992 after working for Tilcon Co., at the Campton Sand & Gravel site. For many years Lois served as the Ellsworth Town Clerk. Lois had the distinction of being Ellsworth's oldest living resident.
Lois was predeceased by her beloved husband, Howard Minnon, and two brothers, Earl and Rodman Westover.
Surviving members of the family include: two sons, Peter Minnon, of Ellsworth, John Minnon and wife Margaret, of Bow; daughter, Lucinda Fysh and husband Brenton, of Campton; four grandchildren, Maria Johnson, of Laconia, Heidi Fysh, of Austin, TX, Matthew Fysh, of Campton, Nathan Fysh, of Belmont; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Westover, of Thornton; two sister-in-laws, Joyce Duffy, of Bakersfield, CA, Phyllis Bruce, of Rumney.
