CAMPTON -- Linden A. King, 89, passed away at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center on Sunday June 8, 2014.
Linden was born in Arlington, Massachusetts on August 21, 1924 the son Albert V. and Mae (Brown) King. Linden was raised in Arlington, Massachusetts, later moving to Nahant Massachusetts before moving to Campton, New Hampshire some 60 years ago.
Linden enlisted with the Army in 1942, proudly serving his country during World War II. He received the Silver Star and Purple Heart during his time of service to his country. Linden then went to work for New England Erecting Company for more than 40 years before he decided to retire some time ago. Linden was a proud member of the American Legion and member of the VFW in Plymouth, New Hampshire.
Linden is predeceased by his beloved wife, Martha (Peg) Powell; a son Linden King; and a daughter Linda King; one brother Albert King; one sister Dorothy (Johnson) King; as well as his parents.
Linden is survived by his son; James King and his wife Elizabeth, of Warren, New Hampshire, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the family plot at the Blair Cemetery, Blair Road Campton, New Hampshire.
