Lillian Dorothy Wall

Lillian D. Wall, 87, passed on peacefully at Golden View Nursing Home on October 12, surrounded by family.  Lillian was born in Boston on October 3, 1923 and attended St. Raphael's School, Hyde Park HS and Boston Clerical.  She resided in Hyde Park for many years and has been a resident of Moultonborough since the mid 1980's. She worked as a civilian secretary for the US Office of Scientific Research and Development in Washington, DC during WWII as well as various work in Massachusetts.  She served as a volunteer in President Kennedy's Senate campaign.  She loved travel and visited over 15 countries in Eastern & Western Europe, the Middle-East, and North Africa. She was devoted to the Virgin Mary and made many thousands of rosaries, which were given away to people throughout the world.  Lillian survived polio as a child and its aftereffects, but never let it stop her from having a life full of fun, travel, devotion to the Virgin Mary, and love and dedication to family. She was predeceased by two of her brothers: John Wall of MA and Joseph Wall of AR.   She is survived by: her lovingly devoted sister Patricia A. Blackadar of Moultonborough, NH and brother William Wall of Honolulu, HI; nephew William Blackadar, nephew Brian Blackadar and his wife Maureen and niece Christine Blackadar all of Moultonborough, NH; grand-nieces Mary, Laura, Katie, Sarah and Grace Blackadar of NH; and cousins Arlene Gertsen and Joseph Griffin.Service:A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Meredith, NH at 10:00am on Friday, October 15, 2010, The Very Reverend Dennis J. Audet, V.F., pastor, will be the celebrant.Cemetery:Interment will follow at Holland Hill Cemetery, Moultonborough.
