Meredith- Lester E. Simpson Sr, 69, of Meredith, passed away after a brief illness on November 24, 2019, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

He was born on November 20, 1950 at Franklin Hospital, son of the late Roy and Jacqueline (LaBelle) Simpson. Lester was born and raised in Northfield NH, and eventually settled in Meredith, NH, where he served as plant manager of Remcon North Corporation for nearly 40 years. Lester had recently retired to fulfil his dreams of traveling and finding adventures with his wife. Lester was a jovial man with a fantastic sense of humor, a heart of gold, and a willingness to help anyone in need. Lester adored his family and took pride in their accomplishments. He loved camping, riding his Harley, and helping people. His glowing smile was contagious, and he will be missed dearly.

In addition to his parents, Lester was predeceased by his brother Ronald Simpson, son in law Robert Vachon, and brother in law Pierce Smith. Lester leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Susan (Burbank) Simpson; his son Lester Simpson Jr and his wife Tina Simpson of Meredith, NH; his daughter Angela (Vachon) Simpson, of New Hampton, NH; his sister, Donna Smith of RiverBend, NC; brother, Robert Simpson and his wife Jean of Northfield, NH; a sister, Janet Simpson of Florida; a brother Richard Simpson and wife Missy Simpson, of NY; six grandchildren, Cora, Lilly, Breanna, and Drake Simpson of Meredith; John Vachon of New Hampton, and Alicia Vachon of Ashland; and 3 great grandchildren, Aden, Abby and Aria Vachon; an uncle, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mayhew Funeral Home in Meredith is assisting the family with arrangements. A private burial and celebration of life will take place at a later date.
