Laurette (Beauchemin) Boivin died peacefully in her sleep, Friday, April 23, 2010, at the age of 92, at Presidential Oaks residential facility, in Concord, NH.Born March 7, 1918, she was the only daughter of Pierre and Elisabeth (Laurent) Beauchemin. Educated in Laconia Schools, Laurette became a beautician and owned and operated her own shop in Laconia, and another shop in Rochester, later after her marriage.She was married to her husband of 58 years, Theodore G. Boivin, who preceded her in death in 1998. Together they had four children and ran both the Western Auto Store and Profile Wayside Furniture in Plymouth for many years.During her life, Laurette's devotion to family was her biggest priority. In her spare time she enjoyed many crafts including needlework and sewing. She was a very social person and loved a gathering of family and friends.She will be missed by her children, Daniel and wife Karen Boivin, of Bridgewater, Helen and husband John Downing, of Wentworth, Louise and husband Edward Cettina, of Merritt Island, Fl, Philip Boivin, of Nashua, nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.The family wishes to thank the staff of Presidential Oaks and the Visiting Nurses Association Hospice team who worked to make our mother comfortable while she was residing there.Memorials:Memorial contributions may be made in Laurette's memory to the Visiting Nurses Association Hospice Home, PO Box 1797, Concord, NH 03302Visitation:Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St., Plymouth, from 6 thru 8 pm. An additional calling hour will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010, from 10 thru 11 am.Service:A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 am, on Thursday, April 29, 2010. The Rev. Leo LeBlanc, pastor of St. Matthew's Holy Trinity Parish, of Plymouth, will officiate.Cemetery:Interment will take place following the service and will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Fairgrounds Rd., Plymouth.
