Kristin Doyle Kent

MEREDITH---Kristin Kent, 75, died on Thursday, March 20, 2025, peacefully at home in Meredith, NH.
Kristin was born March 24, 1949, in Hanover, NH, to Dr. Samuel C. and Joanna M. Doyle. Kristin grew up on Huntington Hill, spending her childhood exploring the woods and White Mountains, riding horses and hay wagons, skiing, and playing golf.
She married Thomas Kent in 1978, and they spent much of their life with their two children, Daniel and Christopher, in Holliston, MA.
Kristin spent her career as a medical secretary, working in private practices as well as at Mass General and Newton Wellesley Hospitals.
In retirement, Kristin and Tom moved to Mesa, AZ, before returning to New Hampshire shortly after Tom’s passing in 2007, spending the last 7 years in Meredith.
Kristin was an active member of PEO, supporting women’s education at Cottey College.
An avid sports fan, you could hear her for miles cheering on her beloved Green Bay Packers (she made the pilgrimage to Lambeau Field twice), Boston Bruins (she met Bobby Orr in an elevator at work), and Baltimore Orioles (she always cheered for them over the Red Sox).
She had many dogs in her life, including a series of beloved Jack Russel Terriers: Spot, Mickey, Ari, and Beau (who liked to drink her coffee).
She also loved to travel and would often share stories of visiting Mikonos with her mother, cruising through the Panama Canal with Tom, and catching sight of Denali through the parting clouds on one of her many trips to Alaska. She even caught a giant pike on a fishing trip to Labrador and rode the Slinky Dog roller coaster with her grandchildren at Disney World!
Kristin is survived by her sons, Daniel and Christopher Kent; daughters-in-law, Mari and Kate; brothers, Rick and John Doyle; grandchildren, Connor, Casey, and Charlotte Kent; sister-in-law, Mary Doyle; and niece, Joanna Doyle. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Tom; daughter-in-law, Staci Kent; and sister-in-law, Gail Doyle.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
