MEREDITH-Kenneth (Sonny) Ambrose, (68) passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on April 5, 2018.
Sonny was born in Manchester, NH on August 15, 1949 the son of; David G. and Pauline V. (Vittum) Ambrose.
Sonny attended Interlakes School in Meredith, NH graduating in 1968. After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy. During his three years of service, he served on the USS Saratoga during the Vietnam War. After his military service he returned to Meredith, NH working for Ambrose Construction Company, then onto Paquette Signs, before opening his own business creating, "Sonny Ambrose Designs". Sonny is well known for his artwork and design skills around the lakes region, which includes paintings at the Route 104 diner, The American Legion, the Meredith, Town Hall sign, the World War II Memorial at the Meredith Town Library just to name a few. A multitude of vehicles can also be credited to his artwork skills, as he was known for his unsurpassed skill and talent for attention to detail.
Sonny enjoyed ice racing motorcycles during the winter, he loved fishing during the summer, Nascar racing fan or any auto racing in general. There was not much he would not do, he was just an overall great guy who loved to do everything possible.
Survivors include his wife; Sandy, his two sons; Jake and T.J. Ambrose, two brothers; Skip Ambrose and Michael Brailey, his sister; Mary Zurline, grandchildren; Chris, Devin, David, Taylor, Saige, Lindsay, Jake, Landon and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Sonny was pre-deceased by his parents.
