Katherine Emerson Sylvestre

February 15, 1921 — October 8, 2017

Katherine E. "Kay" Sylvestre, 96, of Plymouth, died October 8, 2017 at Lakes Region General Hospital, in Laconia, NH.

Born in Campton, NH., on February 15, 1921, Kay was the daughter of Carl and Adele (Simpson) Sargeant. Kay grew up in Campton and graduated from Plymouth High School, class of 1939. She also was a graduate of the former Concord Business School, in Concord, NH.

Kay worked for the Draper Corporation, in Beebe River, in the Bobbin Mill Plant's business office. She later worked as the Administrative Assistant to the Hospital Administrator, at Speare Memorial Hosptial, in Plymouth, until her retirement. Kay was an avid walker, taking long brisk walks all over the town of Plymouth. She loved to socialize with family and friends and tend to her flower garden.
Kay met her husband Mark and married in 1945. They had two children that she adored taking care of and being a stay home mom.

Kay was predeceased by her husband of sixty-two years, Mark T. Sylvestre, who died in April of 2008.

Kay is survived by her children, Peter Sylvestre and his wife Bonnie of Lyman, ME., Karen Natale of Alton, NH., three grandchildren, Laura Beatham of Dover, NH, Mark Sylvestre of Newburyport, MA., Kelcie Natale of Alton, three great grandchildren, Noah, Caleb, and Liam Beatham, a sister, Thelma Lawson of Campton, and many nieces and nephews. The family would also like to thank the staff at the Peabody Nursing Home for their great care of Kay for the past nine months.

Private graveside services will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Plymouth. The Rev. Michael Pelletier, Pastor of the Campton Baptist Church of Campton, will officiate.
