Judy M. Mcquinn-Downing

Judy Mary McQuinn-Downing, 51, of Old Route 25, died November 10, 2010, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital, in Lebanon, after a courageous battle with cancer.     Born in Quincy, MA on July 11, 1959, she was the daughter of Howard R. and Mary A. [Comeau] McQuinn.     She grew up in Quincy and graduated from Quincy High School, class of 1977.  She also was a graduate of Suffolk University, class of 1981.  Judy moved to the Plymouth area thirty years ago and has been a resident of Rumney for the past 26 years.     Judy worked for just over six years at Speare Memorial Hospital, Plymouth, in the accounting Department.  She has worked for many years as a self employed accountant.  Judy was also the treasurer for the Russell Elementary School, in Rumney.      Judy was active in community affairs such as the Rumney PTO and a strong supporter of athletics at the Russell School and Plymouth Regional Area High School.     Judy was predeceased by her husband, Edward James Downing, who died in October of 2005.      Judy is survived by her children, Benjamin E. Downing and Alyson M. Downing, both of Rumney, her parents, Howard and Mary of Quincy, MA, brother, Robert McQuinn, sisters, Susan McQuinn, Joyce MCQuinn, Nancy Little, all of Quincy, MA, many nieces and nephews, father-in-law, Edward E. Downing, sister-in-laws Rebecca D. Farnsworth and her husband Ronnie, Karen Downing, brother-in-laws, Andrew E. Downing and Bertram A Downing, all of Thornton.       Memorials:In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ben and Alyson Downing Family Fund, c/o Northway Bank, 9 Main St. Berlin, NH. 03570.Visitation:Calling hours will be held in the Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St, Plymouth, on Saturday 3pm to 6pm.Service:A Celebration of Life, Lunch and Gathering will be held at the Foster's Common Man Restaurant, Plymouth, on Sunday at 1pm. Cemetery:Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
