OBITUARY DEPARTMENTDATELINE: Plymouth, NH. Joseph Thomas McGrath, 84, of Crescent St. died suddenly September 15, 2010, at his home. Born in Arlington, Massachusetts on July 23, 1926, he was the son of John Joseph and Gladys Irene [Casey] McGrath. He grew up in Worcester MA and graduated from Worcester High School. He also attended Holy Cross College, in Worcester. He reisded in the Bristol and Alexandria area for many years and has been a resident of Plymouth for the past three years. In his early twenties, Joseph went to work for the former IPC, now Freudenberg-NOK, in Bristol and retired in 1988 as the Vice President of Manufacturing. Joseph served on and was past president of the Board of Directors at Franklin Regional Hospital, in Franklin. He was a World War II US Navy veteran. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Den Brae Golf Course, in Sanbornton. Joseph was predeceased by his daughter Colleen McGrath, who died in 2003. Joseph is survived by his wife, Norinne E. [Berry] McGrath of Plymouth, sons, Michael J. McGrath of Center Barnstead, Timothy J. McGrath of Windham, Peter G McGrath of Concord, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, brothers, John J. McGrath of Fitchburg, MA, Charles McGrath of Worcester, MA, James McGrath of Milford, MA, sisters, Irene Allian of Oxford, MA, Katherine Richardson of Auburn, MA, many nieces and nephews.
