John Francis Chessey, 83, of Wentworth, NH, died October 27, 2017 at Concord Hospital, in Concord, NH.
Born in Rockville, CT. on July 9, 1934, he was the son of George Stanley and Alice Rose (Pfiefer) Chessey.
John grew up in Connecticut and graduated from Cheney Technical School, in Manchester, CT. He resided in Connecticut for many years, and summered in Wentworth for many years. He moved to Wentworth, permanently, in 1982.
John worked as a finish carpenter and cabinet maker for most all his life, in both Connecticut and New Hampshire.
John was a past member of the Pemi Fish & Game Club, in Holderness and he enjoyed carving ducks and birds.
John is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Margaret C. (Lojzim) Chessey of Wentworth, his brother, George S. Chessey Jr., his sisters, Mary Morrow and Maureen Chessey, all of Tolland CT., his brother-in-law's, David Lojzim and his wife Susan of Stonington, CT., John Lojzim and his wife Lorie of Olmsted Falls, OH., and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held in the Valley View Cemetery, Tolland, CT., on Tuesday, Nov. 14th, at 11am.
