James Merrill Scott

James M. "Scotty" Scott, 70 of Moultonborough passed away suddenly at his residence on May 22, 2017. James was born on January 25, 1947 in Boston, Mass. He was the son of the late Henry and Marjorie (Weeks) Scott.

Jim was a graduate of Inter Lakes High School and the University of Connecticut, Class of 1969. Scotty was a huge Huskies fan.

Jim was a pharmacist and proprietor of Scott's Pharmacy in Meredith and Wolfeboro and later worked for Rite Aid, CVS, Brooks and LaVerdiere's Pharmacies.

Beloved husband of 47 years to Linda-Lee (Waelde) Scott. Loving father of Khristopher Scott and his wife Karyn of Denver, CO, Kimberlee-Ann Turgeon and her husband Arron of Center Harbor, and Kory Merrill Scott and his partner John Joseph Mahoney III of Boston, Mass. Dear Papa and Grampy of Myah and Gavin Scott and Wyatt Earp Scott Turgeon "West". Uncle of Jeffrey Scott and his wife Jennifer and their two children of Pottstown, PA. Brother of the late Henry T. Scott and Elise Hall. He was pre-deceased by his loving pets; Czar, Licorice, Penelope, Snowball, Muffet, Morgan, Chopper, Delilah, and Wiener.

Family and friends will honor and remember Scotty's life by gathering for calling hours in the Mayhew Funeral Home, 204 Daniel Webster Hwy. (Rt. 3 & Rt. 104) Meredith on Thursday, May 25th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon followed by a graveside service in Holland Hill Cemetery, Moultonborough. The Rev. Ed Charest will officiate.
