James H. Gile Jr., 66, a lifelong Plymouth resident passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, September 30, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 15, 1951, he was the oldest of six children of James H. Sr. and Doris (Dexter) Gile.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, Navy Seabees Reserve and the United States Army Reserve. He worked a lifelong career in construction owning Custom Cabin Log Homes. In his later years Jim worked for Freudenberg NOK, Ashland NH. Jim was an avid Nascar race fan, loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed the outdoors.

Most importantly Jim loved his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He married the love his life Barbara "Bonnie" Gorell on September 14, 1974.

Jim was predeceased by his three brothers Bruce, Vern and Myron.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Bonnie) Gile, his daughters, Amanda Cochran and her husband Guy of Holderness, Cindy Bergeron and her husband James of Penacook, Laurie Vachon and her husband Timothy of Plymouth. One son William Gauthier and his wife Catelya (KK) Gauthier of Plymouth. Five granddaughters that he adored; Abigail Bergeron, Emily Bergeron, Danielle Vachon, Kaitlyn Vachon and Carissa Gauthier. Two sisters Trudy Woodward and Cindy Reed. Several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held in the Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St., Plymouth, on Tuesday, Oct. 10th, from 6pm top 8pm. A Graveside Committal Service will be held in the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, NH Route #3, Boscawen, on Wednesday, Oct. 11th, at 11am. The Rev. Edward Charest will officiate.
