James Bernard Cahill

MOULTONBOROUGH---James B Cahill, 79, of Moultonborough, NH passed away on February 20, 2018.
James was Born in Brighton, MA on December 22, 1938, he was the youngest son of Walter and Agnes (Slocum) Cahill.
He graduated from Brighton High School in 1956 and enlisted in the US Navy where he learned his trade of aircraft mechanic. After he was discharged, he spent many years working for Pan American Airways and operated a real estate/property management company in Brooklyn, NY. With his late business partner; Don McGarity. Later in life, he and his wife Lorraine moved to New Hampshire, where he summered during his childhood, to raise their young family. He settled into the Lakes Region community where he sold real estate, most recently with Roche Realty Group. Jim, also known as Buppa too many, loved spending time with his family and friends, and riding on his sit-down mower with a cigar in his mouth to keep the mosquitos away.
He was predeceased by his brother, Walter Cahill of Brighton, MA and Paul Cahill of Arlington, MA.
He is survived by his wife Lorraine (Bowen) of 54 years, son James and daughter-in-law Susan of Norwood, MA, daughter Debra of Derry, NH and his three grandchildren Kyle, Cassandra and Donnovan; brother Robert Cahill and his wife Genevieve (deceased) of Modesto, CA; sister Nessie D'Ambrosio and her husband Patrick of Auburndale, MA; sister Carol Cahill of Quincy, MA; sister-in-law Mary Ann Cahill of Arlington, MA; sister-in-law Nancy Bowen and her husband Robert (deceased) of Nashua, NH; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Church services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Meredith, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Laconia Rehabilitation Center Activity Fund c/o Laconia Rehabilitation Center, 175 Blueberry Lane, Laconia, NH 03246.
