James Wendell Brown, 90, of Laconia, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2012 at Ledge View Nursing Home, in Laconia after a lengthy illness.
Born in Palmyra, NJ on June 16, 1922 he was the son of James E. and Dorothy (Sharpe) Brown. James was raised in Palmyra. After high school graduation he enlisted with the U.S. Army and proudly served his country during WWII.
In 1978 James and his wife Janet (Munro) retired to Center Sandwich where they spent many happy years together.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Janet (Munro) Brown in 2004, and brother, Charles Richard "Dick" Brown.
James is survived by his two sons, Mark W. Brown, of Frederick, Maryland, and Robert M. Brown and wife Claudia, of Missoula, Montana.
