James P. Armstrong, 67, of Center Ossipee, passed away peacefully at his home on October 1, 2017, after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Born in Franklin, NH on November 3, 1949, he was the son of the late Jack C. And Lucille K. (MacDonald) Armstrong.
Jim spent his younger years in Meredith having attended school at the Humiston Building and the remainder of his life was spent in Center Ossipee. In earlier years Jim worked for Thomas Timber as a logger, then worked 20 years for Persons Concrete. He ended his working career retiring from Real Green Lawn Service with his close friend Dan Harris.
Jim enjoyed being outside and was very passionate about hunting and racing. He spent many years behind the wheel of #57 racing on the ice. Most of all he was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He cherished every second he could spend his 5 grandchildren.
Jim was predeceased by his son, Jack C. Armstrong; son Jason E. Armstrong his sister Carol Weeks; his sister, Joyce Hyslop; and brother, Dwight Armstrong.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Paulette (Royea) Armstrong of Center Ossipee; his son, James P. Armstrong of Albany, NH. He had five grandchildren: Chloe, Raegan, Berkley, Dillon Armstrong of North Conway and Caden Armstrong of Effingham. He is also survived by his sister Jane C. Armstrong and her husband Stanley; sister Katheryn Armstrong; sister Janice Graton; and sister-in-law Judy Armstrong; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins and his good buddy Boo.
