Jacqueline Beverly Marden

August 29, 1932 — September 15, 2017

It is with great sadness that the family of Jacqueline Marden announces her sudden passing on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the age of 85. Jacqueline will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Mark, her son Mark Marden and fiancée Joyce Agness, son Robert and wife Denise Marden, daughter Rebecca & husband James Gallagher, son Edward and wife Joan Marden, daughter Lois and husband James Taylor, son Timothy and wife Susan Marden, daughter Mary and husband Calvin Alcorn, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, her sister Betty Moore, brothers Walter Hanson & Carrol Hanson, sister in-law Minerva Willoughby and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jacqueline was born in Thornton, NH and was raised in the Plymouth, NH area where she worked as a telephone operator until she met Mark at a dance (which to this day was something they always enjoyed doing). After falling in love, they married and had their first child (Mark). Once Mark finished his tour in the Navy they moved to the Nashua Area where they had six more children. Jacky's family meant everything to her. She always had a positive attitude towards life and did whatever she could to help her children grow and prosper. As a mother of 7 she managed to stay very active in her children's lives such as cub scouts, boy scouts, girl scouts, baseball, soccer, softball, and church. Needless to say she was always giving.

Along with staying active with her children's activities she enjoyed cooking. She worked on many fund raising suppers for Eastern Star and Holderness Historical society.

Jacky was a 50-year member of Eastern Star where she was a past Worthy Matron. When Mark and Jacky retired they moved to Holderness, where she became very active in the local Baptist church and historical society. She loved running clothing drives to raise money and to provide clothes to those less fortunate.

Jacky was very talented in cooking and making things with her hands. She used to make clothes for herself and others and also enjoyed knitting. Her children and grandchildren always looked forward to getting the warm mittens and hats.

Jacqueline will always be remembered as a loving wife and mother that will always be looking over her family from heaven.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, Sept. 22nd, from 3:30pm to 5:30pm at Mayhew Funeral Home, 204 Daniel Webster HWY., Meredith NH. An order of Eastern Star Service will be held on Friday at 5:30pm. A Funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 23rd, at 11AM in the Holderness Community Church, Route #3, Holderness. Burial will follow in the Bridge Cemetery, Holderness, NH.

At the request of the family, please make memorial donations to the Holderness Community Church, 919 US RT 3, Holderness, NH. 03245.
