Jaclyn Elaine "Jackie" LaPoint, 34, of Meredith, died suddenly at her home on July 10, 2017.
Born in East Hanover, NJ. on August 27, 1982, she was the daughter of Glen and Kathryn l. (Fernicola) LaPoint.
Jackie grew up in E. Hanover and graduated from Hanover Park High School, class of 2001. She has been a resident of Meredith for the past two years.
Jackie was an active member in her community of E. Hanover, NJ. She was a life member of the E. Hanover First Aid Squad and she was the dispatcher for the E. Hanover Police Department. Most recently, Jackie was a Front Desk Associate for the Inn at Mills Falls, in Meredith.
Jackie was also very involved with many veterans' organizations. She was responsible for the placement of forty-nine government markers for soldiers graves from the Civil and Revolutionary Wars.
Jackie is survived by her parents, Glen and Kathryn LaPoint of Meredith, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and many friends.
A graveside service was held in the Oakland Cemetery, Meredith, on Friday, July 14th. The Rev. Marc B. Drouin, pastor of Saint Andre Bassette Parish, officiated. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Leonardis Funeral Home, 210 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park, NJ., on Saturday, July 22nd.
