Irene May Superchi

Irene May Superchi, 91, of Butler Road, Campton, died July 21, 2015, at Speare Memorial Hospital, Plymouth, after a period of failing health.
Born in Thornton, NH on January 5, 1924, she was the daughter of Ezra and Marion (Tobyne) Downing. Irene grew up in Thornton and attended Thornton Schools. She has been a life-long resident of the Thornton and Campton area.
Irene worked for several companies and stores in the Pemi-Baker Valley area. She established her own day care service in Campton, which she operated for many years. Irene was a member of the Durand-Haley American Legion Post 66 Auxiliary, in Plymouth, NH. She also loved to spend time reading, cooking and spending time with her family.
Irene was predeceased by her husband of fifty-five years, Eugene M. Superchi Jr., who died in April of 2002. Irene is survived by her children, son Arnold Superchi of Lisbon, New Hampshire, a son Wayne Superchi of Campton, NH, son Robert Superchi and his daughter Sandra Pritchard, both of Thornton, NH, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, her sister, Ruth Sherburne of Plymouth, many nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Thornton, NH.
