Hilda M. Duncan, 81, formerly of Campton, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Golden View Health Care Center, Meredith, after a lengthy illness.She was born on July 28, 1928, in Plymouth, the daughter of the late Harold and Norma (Lougee) Huckins. She was raised in Plymouth and attended the Lower Interval School.Hilda was a homemaker who worked hard to raise her family; she loved spending time with them, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hilda enjoyed taking long rides in the countryside with her many friends.She is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Earl W. Duncan, formerly of Campton, in 2004; and a daughter, Sharon L. Krauz, formerly of Campton, in 2002.Hilda is survived by her two sons, David Duncan and wife Tina, of Campton, and Douglas Duncan and wife Michelle, of N. Woodstock; three brothers, Stanley Huckins and wife Nina of Plymouth, Robert Huckins and significant friend Jack Foley, of Whitefield, and Stephen Huckins, of Bridgewater; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one step-great-granddaughter; she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.Memorials:In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Hilda's memory to a charity of one's choice.Service:A graveside service will be held at Blair Cemetery, Campton, on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 1:00pm. The Rev. John Muehlke, Jr., pastor of the Pemi Valley Baptist Church of Woodstock will officiate.
