Helen B. Powers

Helen Powers, 76, died November 24th, 2023, with her family by her side, at the Mountain Ridge Center in Franklin, NH.
Born in Southington, CT, Helen grew up in Plantsville until moving to Goshen, NH in her early twenties. Helen suffered a life-changing accident as a child but lived life to the fullest with a wonderfully positive attitude.
Helen enjoyed writing poetry and prose, practicing, and learning the benefits of Tai Chi and karate, and of course her love of great food. She also enjoyed sharing her stories with family and friends, always having a fun twist and a laugh to end each one. Helen loved her time at Bittersweet in New London where she had many friends and lived with her precious cat, Sweetie.
Helen was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Carmella Powers, her brother Jeffrey, her close aunt Sophia Dervis, and great nephew Liam Haas. She is survived by her sister Lisa Bargleski and Donald, brother Thomas Powers II and Doreen, sister Gerri Powers, and cousin Marlene Ramondetta, as well as her nieces and nephew, Alexis Bargleski, Tessa Phillips and Jason, Kayla Haas and Taylor, and Thomas Powers III and Renea. Helen is also survived by her great nieces and nephews, Thomas Bargleski, Thomas Powers IV, Sophia Haas, Ava Haas, and Koyo Phillips.
The family would like to thank Mountain Ridge Center for the care and friendship that Helen received for the many years she was a resident there.
There are no calling hours, there will be a private graveside service in the spring.
