Hazel Burnham Carpenter, 84, of Plymouth, NH. died November 20, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born in West Rumney, NH on November 18, 1932, she was the daughter of Amon and Vernie (Pease) Burnham.
Hazel grew up in West Rumney and graduated from Plymouth High School, class of 1950. She has been a resident of Plymouth for most of her life.
Hazel was a homemaker and her greatest pleasure was to have her family around her. She enjoyed baking for her family and church, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to play bingo, cards, and doing jigsaw puzzles. Hazel was also an avid Red Sox fan.
Hazel is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, William M. Carpenter of Plymouth, her children, Ronald Carpenter, Linda Gadwah and her husband Dennis, Steven Carpenter and his wife DeeDee, all of Plymouth, Brenda Inman and her husband Richard of Campton, her grandchildren, Sara Thielbar and her husband Terry, Amy McKenney and her husband Dave, Kelsey Gadwah, Christopher Inman, and Michael Inman, her great grandchildren, Caleb and Bennett Thielbar, Serena and Sylvie McKenney, also she is survived by many nieces, nephews, and a sister-in-law, Virginia Burnham of West Rumney.
Hazel was a long-time member of the West Rumney Community Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and will be missed by all.
Calling hours will be held in the Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St. Plymouth, on Friday, Nov. 25th, from 6pm to 8pm. A funeral service will be held in the West Rumney Community Church, Old Rte. 25, West Rumney, on Saturday, Nov. 26th, at 11am. The Rev. Lynn Morrison, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery, Plymouth.
