DATELINE: Campton, NH.
Harry Moses Piper Sr., 96, of Route #3, died February 19, 2016, at his caretaker's home, in Campton, after a long illness.
Born in Ellsworth, NH., on February 15, 1920, he was the son of Harry A. and Mamie S. (Moses) Piper.
Harry was a life-long resident of Campton and a graduate of the Blair School, in Campton.
Harry worked for over forty years as a machinist and a laborer for the former Draper Corporation, in Beebe River, NH. During his retirement, Harry did yardwork for many of the Campton's residents.
Harry was a long time member of the Campton Congregational Church and had served as a deacon.
Harry was a US Army World War II veteran and was the recipient of the Purple Heart.
Harry was predeceased by his wife, Mabel (Littlefield) Piper, who died in 1988 and his son, Harry M. Piper Jr.
Harry is survived by his daughter, Linda M. Gross and her husband Arthur of Campton, two grandchildren, David A. Mack of Meredith, Vicky A. Mack of Woodsville, NH, four great grandsons, eight great great grandchildren, his brother-in-Law, Joseph Littlefield and his wife Edith, of Campton, numerous nieces and nephews.
