Grace Contaldo

Grace Contaldo, 95, of Meredith, passed away May 21, 2010, at Golden View Health Care Center, after a brief illness.Born on December 1, 1914 in Charlestown, MA, she was the daughter of Oscar and Marie (Connolly) DeSonie. Grace was raised in Charlestown and attended schools there.After graduating high school, Grace became a licensed practical nurse and worked for the Boston State Hospital for many years.Grace was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph N., in 1980; and her daughter, Grace Marie Natola, in 1999.She is survived by her six grandchildren, Francis N. Natola, of N. Haverhill, Joseph C. Natola and wife Nancy, of Natick, MA, Anthony B. Natola, of Meredith, Gracemarie Ainsworth and husband Steven, of Meredith, Marguerite Fahey and husband Michael, of Wakefield, and Claire Natola, of Meredith; a sister, Louise Tanous, of Carmel, CA; a niece, Carol Ober, of Durham, NH; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.Memorials:In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Grace's name to the Immaculate Conception Church, 500 Morrill St., Gilford, 03249, or to the Golden View Health Care Center, 19 NH Rte. 104, Meredith, 03253.Service:A Traditional Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 10:00 am in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, of Gilford. The Rev. Richard McDonough will officiate.Cemetery:Interment will be held in the Bourne National Veterans Cemetery, of Bourne, MA, on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 3:00pm.
