On Thursday, February 20th, 2025, Gloria Geraldine (Stevens) Sullivan, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 in her home in Thornton, NH.
Gloria was born April 17th, 1936 in Milo ME to Cecil and Ida (Heath) Stevens. She moved to Boston, MA with her family when she was 5 years old where she continued to live through most of her adult life.
She married John Joseph Sullivan of Charlestown, MA. They raised 8 children. Gloria was what most would call a jack of all trades. We call her well rounded. Some of her best stories come from her stories of work. Some of the things she's done include the snake show with the carnival or her time as a professional wrestler going up against the fabulous Moolah, she was a member of the Boston Special Police, and security guard. Some of her factory days were spent at Hood milk plant or Schrafft's Chocolate in Charleston, MA, and in her older years as a door greeter at her local Wal-Mart.
Gloria loved spending time with her family and friends. She had many passions. She loved most things outdoors, camping, fishing, horseback riding. She loved her roses and had a talent for painting.
She's well known for her infectious humor that can make anyone blush, her quick wit, and infectious smile. When asked, most would describe her as the person to run to and also to run from.
