Captain Glen Haig Hinckley, 74, of Wentworth, NH died on April 25, 2023.
Glen was born in Barnstable, MA on Cape Cod on September 1, 1948, the son of the late Albert L. and Ellen Hinckley.
Having spent 31 years sailing big ships on big waters, Glen quietly spent his retirement at his one-acre pond on Goves Lane, which he fondly called Hinckley's Moat. Glen served successfully as Mate, then Master on cargo ships for SeaLand, sailing international waterways.
Glen enjoyed sharing sea stories with friends and shipmates. During his life he enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing, landscaping, gardening, traveling, and reading.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years Dee, his two favorite people in the world, his sons Dan and Ryan Hinckley, his sisters Mary Mladinich of Cotuit, MA and Dale (Michael) Rice of Wellfleet, MA., in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held this summer.
