George James Luciano, Dc

Dr. George James Luciano, DC, 71, of New Hampton, passed away after a brief illness with his beloved family by his side at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, in Lebanon, on Friday, May 29, 2015.

George was born on June 4, 1943, in Newark, NJ, the son of George L and Mary (Pollino) Luciano. At the age of 9, George's mother Mary passed away and he was raised by his second mother, Kay Luciano. George graduated from the West Orange High School, in West Orange, NJ, and furthered his education at the Columbia Institute of Chiropractic, in New York, where he received his Doctorate in Chiropractic Care.

Upon graduating college he enlisted with the U.S. Army, and served with honor during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge from the Army he relocated to Plymouth, NH where he opened his first Chiropractic Care office on 4 Langdon St., in Plymouth; he operated his business from various locations in NH throughout his 46 year career.

He met the love of his life (and future wife) Nettie C. Torsey at the Holderness Grange in 1971. Together George and Nettie raised their daughter Melody, residing in Ashland and then New Hampton and cherished 43 years of beautiful marriage together. George will be lovingly remembered by his family as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and will be terribly missed.

George is predeceased by his father and two mothers, Mary and Kay.

He is survived by his wife, Nettie C. Luciano, of New Hampton; daughter, Melody Norris and husband Gary, of Ashland; two grandchildren, Lee Norris, of Ashland, Lauralye Waring, of Bristol; two sisters, Rosemarie Luciano-Buckley, of Toms River, NJ, Anita Luciano-Mulligan, also of Toms River; nephew, John Buckley and wife Joann, of NJ; niece, Deneen Grecco and husband Christopher, of NJ; grandniece, Grace Buckley; numerous cousins, and many friends and valued patients throughout the greater Lakes Region.
