George Francis Hehir, 65, of 36 High Street, Plymouth, Hampshire, passed away on Saturday September 6, 2014 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, New Hampshire.
George was born on May 21, 1949 in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of John and Dorothy (McManus) Hehir. George grew up in Watertown, MA where he graduated from high school. After high school, George enlisted into the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1971. After serving the country he joined the Peace Corps and taught overseas, teaching in international English speaking schools. After serving in the Peace Corps, he met his loving wife Patcharee, "Pom" as she was affectionately known. They married in 1982 in Thailand. As a loving couple they did a lot traveling together. In 1999 they moved to Plymouth, New Hampshire from Kwajalein, in the Marshall Islands, where he taught at Plymouth State University. George and Pom, would do a lot of traveling together, depending on George's job assignment.
George is survived by his beloved wife; Patcharee Hehir of Plymouth, one son; John of Nashua, New Hampshire. George was predeceased by his parents.
