Gary Douglas Mastin

Gary Douglas Mastin, 52, of Rumney, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Speare Memorial Hospital, in Plymouth, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Lockport, NY, on June 7, 1961, he was the son of Douglas and Johanna (Nowak) Mastin. Gary was raised in the Lockport area before moving to Ohio with his family. He graduated from the Northwest High School, in Canal Fulton, OH. Gary furthered his education at Bowling Green University, of OH, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, he then went on to attend Plymouth State University and earned a Master's Degree in Education.

For a time, Gary was a self employed contractor in Chardon, OH and eventually moved with his wife and children to Plymouth, NH, where he was a 12 year Associate with Hannaford's Supermarket. He was a member of the Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, in Bristol.

Gary was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed gardening and time spent with family; he loved taking his kids hiking and also "Geo-Caching". He will be dearly missed by those whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his beloved wife of twenty five years, Beth M. (Allen) Mastin, of Rumney; daughter, Kara Mastin, of Rumney; son, Alex Martin, or Rumney; parents, Douglas and Johanna Mastin; brothers, Dale Mastin, of Barberton, OH, Bryan Mastin, of Houghton, NY; sister, Wenda Coburn, of Syracuse, NY; In-Laws, Jim and Mary Allen, of Plymouth; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends throughout the area.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary's memory may be made to the Astra Zeneca Hope Lodge, 125 S. Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, Boston, MA 02130
