Gardner M. Ring, 85, of Meredith, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010, at his home, after a lengthy illness.He was born on September 14, 1924, in Worcester, MA, he was the son of Irving T. F. and Miriam I. (Manning) Ring. He was raised in Worcester and attended Worcester Schools.Gardner was a Registered Architect in New Hampshire and Massachusetts; he started his first full-time job in Auburn, ME, before moving back to reside in Worcester, where he worked for OE Nault & Sons. He also worked for the Bill Mead Design Co. of Center Harbor, Winnisquam, and Hudson, NH, and Natick, MA.Gardner married his beloved wife Barbara (Duggan) Ring in June of 1952, in Worcester, where they resided for four years, before moving to Sudbury, MA, where they would reside for the next 25 years. In 1966 they bought their home in Meredith as a second home and summered there yearly. In the early 80's they lived in Meredith and then Hudson, MA, where they resided for 16 years, before moving to West Dennis, Cape Cod, MA, in 1998, in 2005 they moved back to their Meredith home to reside there full time.Gardner was a member of several clubs including: The American Institute of Architects, Wentworth University Alumni Club, Trustees of the Sudbury United Methodist Church, assorted Square Dance clubs throughout the many years, and was also a member of the Meredith and Hudson Rotary Clubs.He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Barbara T. (Duggan) Ring, of Meredith; two daughters, Diane and husband Joseph Sollazzo, and Crystal and husband Glenn Frederick; and a son, G. Irving Ring; he is also survived by seven grandchildren, Karen, Peter, Rhoda, and Mark Sollazzo, and Joshua, JaymieAnne, and Jocelyn Frederick.Memorials:Donations may be made in Gardner's memory to the Community Health and Hospice, 780 N.
