Gail Ruggles Merseles

MEREDITH---Gail R. Merseles, (77) of Meredith, New Hampshire, passed away on December 3, 2015 at Lakes Region General Hospital.
Gail was born in Staten Island, New York on July 21, 1938, the daughter of Vertner and Kathryn (Mellin) Ruggles. Gail grew up in Staten Island, attending grade schools and high school, later moving briefly to Littleton, New Hampshire. She returned to Staten Island, New York. After high school she went to work for J.P. Morgan in New York City for several years before becoming a stay at home mom, caring for her four children. Later in life the family moved to Edison, New Jersey living there for 26 years before moving to their home in Meredith, New Hampshire in 2002.
She loved caring for her grandchildren, gardening, camping when she was younger. She enjoyed and had a talent for crafts, knitting and making Christmas ornaments. She truly enjoyed cooking and baking many favorite dishes for her family.
Survivors include her loving husband Donald of 52 years, her children; Diane Caggiano and her husband Ralph of Florida, Gregg Merseles and his wife Lilly of Spotswood, New Jersey, Donald Merseles Jr. and his wife Lisa of Edison, New Jersey, Debra Swingle and her husband Gene of Meredith, New Hampshire. Her 13 very loved grand children and several great grand children. She was predeceased by her parents.
Memorial calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 4p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Mayhew Funeral Home 204 D.W. Highway Meredith, New Hampshire 03253.
In Lieu of flowers the family asks for donation, in Gail's memory; to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, One Medical Center Drive Lebanon, New Hampshire 03756.
