Fumiko Montgomery of Meredith passed away at home surrounded by her family on January 27, 2015.
Fumiko was born in Okinawa, Japan on June 1, 1940. She and her husband settled in Meredith in 1990 after traveling for 21 years while her husband was active in the Marine Corps.
Fumiko's favorite past time was gardening. She always took pride of her flower beds and vegetable gardens. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, Cody and Brett Burns and Ryan and Matthew Hale both of Center Harbor.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 47 years, William R. Montgomery. She was the loving mother of Sandra Burns and her husband Scott, Kim Hale and her husband Craig, both of Center Harbor, and her late daughter, Donna Lee Montgomery. She also leaves behind family in Japan.
In Lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Central New Hampshire Visiting Nurses Association. 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
