Frederick Irwin Ross

Frederick Irwin Ross, 88, of NH Route 175, died June 28, at Speare Memorial Hospital, in Plymouth.
He was born on September 13, 1923 in Enfield, NH, the son of Frederick W. and Agnes [Valade] Ross.
He was the husband of the late Merle L. {Gray] Ross, who died on October 17, 2007.
Frederick grew up in Enfield and had resided in Ashland for a short time. He moved to Hampden, MA in the early fifties and returned to Thornton in the mid eighties.
He went too worked in the textile mills at a young age and worked at many different jobs. He became a mold designer and went on to owned and operated Ross Mold and Ross Enterprise, in Massachusetts for many years. He also owned and operated F&M Consulting Company in Thornton.
He was a World War II and Korean War Veteran and served in the US Army Air Corps and the US Air Force. He was a member of the Dupuis Cross Post, in Ashland and the 449th Bomber Group.
Frederick is survived by his children, Earlene B. Ross of Sanford, NC, Priscilla M. Stage of New Hampton, Earl D. Ross of Greenville, NH, Frederick I. Ross II of Thornton, NH, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, his sister, Helen R. Boynton of Hampden, MA, many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held in the Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St, Plymouth, on Monday 6pm to 8pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11am. The Rev. Edward J. Charest, pastor of the Plymouth United Methodist Church, will officiate. Cremation will follow at the Meredith Bay Crematorium, in Meredith. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
