Fred Joseph Sturgeon, 65, of Governor Wentworth Highway, died October 3, 2009, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. Born in Plymouth, NH on April 15, 1944, he was the son of Wilfred Joseph and Erma Vestine [Stokes] Sturgeon. He grew up in Sandwich and in 1963 he graduated from Quimby School, in Sandwich. He was one of four students that graduated in the last class of Quimby School, in Sandwich. He has been a resident of Moultonborough most all his life. Fred worked as a laborer for the Town of Sandwich, the State of New Hampshire, and the Town of Moultonborough. He worked as a carpenter and for many years as a custodian for the Inter-lakes Elementary and High School, until his retirement in 2003. He was a member of the Moultonborough United Methodist Church, the Chocorua Lodge of Mason #64 F&AM, and the Knights of Pythias of Moultonborough. Fred loved to ride his Gold Wing motorcycle with his co-rider in their many travels. He enjoyed woodworking in his shop and was an avid NASCAR fan. Fred was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Sturgeon and sister, Dorothy Davis. Fred is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Donna J. [Richardson] Sturgeon of Moultonborough, son Christopher J. Sturgeon of Moultonborough, daughter Tammy Lynn Robinson of Shirley, NY, six beloved grandchildren, Cassidy Lynn, Robert Christopher and Nichols Joseph Sturgeon of Moultonborough, Crystal, Rockelle and Jasmine Robinson of Shirley, NY, brothers, Ronald W. Sturgeon and Edward R. Sturgeon, sister Rita M.
