Frank Edward Wahlen, 95, of Hebron, passed away on November 14, 2012 at the Dartmouth- Hitchcock Medical Center, in Lebanon.
Frank was born in Somerville, MA, on June 11, 1917, the son of Annie Lowell (Gross) and Walter Jonas Wahlen. He graduated from the Somerville High School. He was married to Florence Louise (Parker) Wahlen in February of 1940; they were married 57 years until her death in 1997.
During his life, Frank accomplished many things. He learned to fly at an early age and was a WWII pilot with the rank of Second Lieutenant. He was involved with the family business until 1978 and the Concord Cooperative Bank, retiring in 1996. He was an accomplished clock maker and took pride in the clocks he produced. He enjoyed reading anything related to the Civil War or the Revolutionary War, traveling whenever the opportunity arose, flying, gardening, and making sure the wood pile was set for the winter. He was a proud member of the Disabled American Veterans Association.
Frank was predeceased in death by his parents, Florence, his wife of 57 years; brother, Walter; sisters, Hazel and Mary; and his companion of twelve years, Dorothy Sheehan.
Frank is survived by his six children, daughter, Anne Criss and husband Frederic, son, Frank Jr., and wife Rita, son, John, daughter, Meredith Lunn and husband John, son, George and wife Susan, and son, Andrew and wife Carol. He was extremely proud of his nine grandchildren: Jennifer, Stefanie, Christopher, Katrina, Elise, Darren, Stacey, Geordi, and Paige; and nine great-grandchildren: Kirsten, Kelsey, Calli, Colin, Benjamin, Alex, Logan, and Abigail. Frank is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family wishes to thank the many doctors and nurses who knew and cared for Frank during the past decade.
