Florence E. Nutter, “Flo”, passed away peacefully at the Belknap County Nursing Home on February 26, 2024, at the age of 95.
Flo was born September 21,1928 to Wayne M. Presby and Adeline (Sherman) Presby. She grew up in the Lisbon/Lyman area of NH and graduated from Lisbon H.S. She later attended Concord College of Business. It was in Concord that Flo met her husband of 58 years, Keith Nutter.
Keith and Florence would spend the next 58 years working hard, raising their children, enjoying their grandchildren, traveling, attending church functions, volunteering and spending time with many friends and family. She was also a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star as she helped with their functions as well. Flo loved helping organize family reunions, both on the Presby and Nutter side, as she and Keith hosted many.
Flo’s work career involved working at many secretarial positions including the Meredith Police Dept., the Visiting Nurses Assoc. in Derry and Meredith, NH.
In later years, Florence and Keith would enjoy their retirement in Brooksville, FL for six months and in the summer months at the family home of 57 years in Meredith, NH.
Florence spent her last years at the Belknap County Nursing Home where she received top notch care from the most wonderful staff. She would always remark about what a great place it was, and that the food was really good too.
Flo is survived by her daughter Christie Dovholuk of North Woodstock, NH, her son Sherman Nutter and his wife Diane of Newtown, CT, grand-daughter Amanda Nutter of Newtown, CT, grandson Brian Nutter and sisters-in-law, Mittie Nutter of Concord, NH, Rebecca Anne Namon of Miami, FL. Also, Flo leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Keith H. Nutter of Meredith, NH, her son-in-law David Dovholuk of North Woodstock, NH and grandson Joshua David Dovholuk of Lincoln, NH.
Flo will be interred with her beloved husband, Keith, at the State Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
There will be a Celebration of Life, family only gathering in the spring.
