Florence Anne "Sweetie" Chase, 97, of NH Route #175, Campton, died August 14, 2014, at Speare Memorial Hospital, in Plymouth.

Born in East Boston, Massachusetts on November 6, 1916, Florence was the daughter of Manuel and Hazel (Gilleo) Rogers. She lived in East Boston until 1945, and graduated from East Boston High School. She moved to Woburn, MA. She became a resident of Campton in 1965.

In her years in Massachusetts, Florence worked at the Boson Naval Shipyard and also had worked at the Medford Café, Medford, MA. Florence and her husband ran the Campton Pizza Pantry for many years, and retired in 1974.

Florence was an active member of the Woburn PTA, she was a Girl Scout leader and volunteered for the Massachusetts Red Cross. In New Hampshire, she was a volunteer dispatcher for the Campton Fire Department, for many years.

Florence is predeceased by her husband Howard Edwin Chase Sr., three step children and on granddaughter.

Florence is survived by her daughters, Barbara Chase Paula and her husband Arthur of Campton, with whom Florence made her home, Betty King of Warren, NH, several grandchildren, a cousin, Virginia Thereault of Thousand Oaks, CA.
