Eric "Bob" Anderson

January 30, 1948 — July 31, 2018

Eric "Bob" Anderson, 70, passed away on July 31, 2018, at after a long battle with cancer, with his family by his side. Almost always, his sister Gloria and his ex-wife and long-time friend Judy could be found at his side during his lengthy battle with the disease. Their time and care were very much appreciated.
Born in Plymouth, NH. on January 30, 1948, he was the son of Eric R. Sr. and Olive (Littlefield) Anderson.
Bob was raised in the Plymouth area, spending all his youth in Thornton. Bob graduated from Plymouth Regional High School in June of 1966. He has been a resident of Thornton for most all his life.
Bob married Judith A. (Cook) Sawyer while in Texas, moved back to northern NH to raise their daughter, and they divorced in 1982. During this time frame, Bob worked as a part time police officer for the town of Littleton and a dispatcher for the NH State Police. He eventually became a full-time officer on the Franconia/Sugar Hill police department.
Bob married his soulmate, Brenda L Anderson in 1989. Bob became a highway enforcement officer and eventually retired from the NH State Police after almost 25 years. He worked a couple of part time jobs during his retirement, one of which he was fondly referred to as "Bob" the builder.
Bob entered the Air Force and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant after 4 years during the Vietnam War era while he worked for the NSA.
Bob is predeceased by his wife Brenda L. Anderson, who died in 2007.
Bob will be very missed by his loving daughter, Nikki Laraway, her husband, (who he referred to as his son), Thomas, his grandchildren, Acadia and Joseph. He is survived by many siblings and their spouses, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours at the Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St. in Plymouth on Tuesday, Aug. 7th, from 5 pm to 7 pm. A graveside service will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Thornton on Wednesday, Aug. 8th, at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his memory may be sent to the Oncology Department at Littleton Regional Hospital, 600 St. Johnsbury Road, Littleton, NH. 03561
