Emma-Rose Garon

October 22, 1982 — March 3, 2024

Emma-Rose Knott Garon (1982-2024):

Emma-Rose found peace and comfort with friends and family by her side when she passed away on March 3, 2024. Throughout the final moments of her life on earth, Emma maintained a courageous, positive, and quick-witted spirit.

Emma was born in Concord, New Hampshire, and grew up in New Hampton, New Hampshire. She was a member of Newfound Regional High School’s class of 2001, where she excelled both academically and athletically, competing for her school in varsity softball and soccer. She received an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from the New Hampshire Technical Institute.

Emma was a server at several local restaurants, and spent her free time listening to music, playing the ukulele, soaking up the outdoors, and surrounding herself with people. She was truly and unapologetically her own person; comfortable in her skin, possessing the ability to make others feel seen, loved, and appreciated. If you happen to live in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, or even if you’ve just passed through, you have likely heard Emma-Rose laugh. If she knew you, she has smiled and yelled your name from across a room.

The most important part of Emma’s life was her children, Gavyn (19) and Logan (16). Every conversation was laced with the things they were doing, and, more often than that, how proud she was of the people that they were. Gavyn and Logan inherit their mother’s kindness, sense of humor, and adventurous spirit.

Emma is survived by her children Gavyn Carll and Logan LaRhette; parents Richard Garon and Kathryn Knott-Garon; brothers Jesse Garon and his wife Carol, Abe Garon and his wife Miranda, and Dylan Garon and his wife Jessica; her Aunt Bonnie “Bobo” Knott, and all her beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of Emma’s life will be held in Meredith on May 19th, with further details being communicated through the family. In lieu of flowers, you can send letters of condolence and shared memories to The Garon Family at PO Box 1442, Meredith NH, 03253; and Emma’s friends have established a fund to help support her children in the coming years at http://www.gofundme.com/f/fund-for-emmas-children
