Meredith, NH - Ellsworth Davis, 85, of Meredith, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton, New Hampshire.

Born on June 7, 1941, in Laconia, New Hampshire, Ellsworth was the son of the late Forrest and Charlotte (Hoag) Davis of Sandwich, New Hampshire.

Ellsworth spent most of his life in Sandwich. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from October 1963 until December 1969. Following his military service, he returned home and worked as a surveyor for several years before dedicating himself to the full-time care of his parents. After their passing, he began working as a custodian at Tamworth Elementary School, where he remained until his retirement.

Ellsworth is survived by his brother, Ronald Davis of Bristol, New Hampshire; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ellsworth was predeceased by his siblings, Forrest, Richard, Lelia, and Bette, and by his nephew, Brian.

A private graveside service will be held for immediate family at a later date.
