MEREDITH, NH --- Elizabeth Bridget (King) MacFarlane of Meredith, NH, passed away at the age of 82, on Sunday, January 11, 2026, in the comfort of her own home.
Elizabeth was born a daughter to Patrick King and Elizabeth (Murphy) King on January 30, 1943. She graduated from Saint Clare High School in Roslindale, MA with the class of 1961, then the Boston City Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1964. She then later obtained a bachelor's degree from Ottawa College. She had a long career as a certified registered nurse anesthetist, namely at the Saint Vincent Hospital starting in 1978. Among all her accomplishments, she married the love of her life, Donald James MacFarlane.
Mrs. MacFarlane is survived by her husband Donald MacFarlane, her siblings, Teresa Scott and her husband Malcolm, Patricia Severance and her husband Robert, Michael King, and Kevin King and his wife Sue (Beaulieu), her nieces and nephews, Patrick Gerald, Mairead Rose and Reagan Mary McNamee-King, Robert, Susan (Marchant) and Douglas Scott, and Jonathan Severance. She is predeceased by her brother John King and his surviving wife Brigid Ann (McNamee), and her brother Paul King.
A Wake will be held from 1pm to 3pm, Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Mayhew Funeral Home, 204 Daniel Webster Highway Meredith, New Hampshire.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 19, 2026, at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Meredith, NH with a luncheon to follow. A graveside service will be held in the Spring at the Oakland Cemetery in Meredith.
