Elda J. Littlefield, 90, of Old North Groton Road, died March 4, at her home, after a long illness.
Born in Dexter, Maine on June 19, 1921, she was the daughter of Fred and Cynthia [Hurd] White. Elda grew up in Groton and has been a resident of the Rumney since she married Abraham Littlefield, in June of 1941. Elda was primarily a home maker most all her life and enjoyed gardening, reading and working on puzzles. In her last days spent at home, Elda has been in the loving care of her sister Mary Smith.
She was predeceased by her husband Abraham, her sons, Robert and James, her daughter Doris Roberts and her husband Edmund, a grandson, Steven Littlefield, four brothers and three sisters.
Elda is survived by her son, Edward Littlefield of Memphis, TN, eight grandchildren, thirteen Great-Grandchildren, sisters, May Woodward of Brandon, VT, June Ewens of New Hampton, Josephine Reed of Rumney, Mary Smith of Plymouth, many nieces and nephews.Memorials:In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Pemi-Baker Home Health and Hospice, 101 Boulder Point, Plymouth, NH. 03264.Service:A funeral service will be held in the Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St. Plymouth, on Thursday, at 2pm.
