Edward J. Silvia, 74, of Campton, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, in Lebanon, NH after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Middleborough, MA on December 23, 1937, he was the son of Joseph and Ellen (Pierce) Silvia. Edward was raised in Middleborough and attended local schools. After he graduated high school he enlisted with the National Guard to serve his country.
Edward is predeceased by his son, William Silvia, and a sister, Christine.
He is survived by his beloved wife of ten years, Rose (Lawrence) Silvia, of Campton; three sons, Edward Silvia, Jr. and his wife Colleen, of Lakeville, MA, Robert Silvia and wife Colleen, also of Lakeville, and John Silvia, also of Lakeville; step-son, Jesse Renauld, of Campton; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Edward's memory may be made to a local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
