Edward Francis O'Brien

Edward Francis O'Brien, 88, of Gould Ave., died peacefully January 7, 2014 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital, in Lebanon, after long illness.

Born in New York City, New York, on February 17, 1925, he was the son of John J. and Mary Ellen (Moriarty) O'Brien. He grew up in the Bronx and graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School. He also was a graduate of University of Connecticut. Edward resided in Bronx, NY and Queens, NY for many years and has been a resident of Meredith for the past six years.

Edward worked for thirty years as a clerk of the court for the State of New York.

Edward was a World War II US Army veteran.

He was predeceased by his wife Frances M. (O'Donnell) O'Brien, who died in 1976 and his brother John O'Brien.

Edward is survived by his daughters, Barbara J. O'Brien of Meredith, Joan O'Brien of Danbury, CT, and son John O'Brien of West Chester, NY.

Edward brought much love and laughter to his family and everyone he met. He will be very much missed.
