Edward Andrew Iscoll

Edward Andrew Driscoll, 90, of Meredith, died April 14, 2016, at the NH Veterans Home, in Tilton, after a long illness.

Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on May 21, 1925, he was the son of William and Katherine (Kindler) Driscoll.

Edward grew up in Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester schools. He resided in West Peabody, MA for thirteen years before moving to Meredith in 1981.

Edward worked for thirty years for the City of Boston Police Department, until his retirement in 1980. He achieved the rank of Sargeant. He was the Assistant Boston Harbor Master and in charge of the Emergency Service Unit, which is the bomb squad. During his retirement, Edward was Captain of the MS Mount Washington, on Lake Winnipesaukee, for fourteen years.
Edward was a World War II US Navy veteran and a Korean War US Air Force veteran.

Edward was predeceased by his wife of sixty-three years, Rita Jeanne Driscoll, who died in November of 2012, his brother, William Driscoll and his son-in-law, Michael Daley.

Edward is survived by his children, Stephen R. Driscoll of Beverly, MA., and Andrea Daley of Milan, NH., a niece, Kathy Driscoll-Ettinger and nephew, George Driscoll.
