CAMPTON--- Edward C. Hodgson, (95) passed away on September 22, 2017 at Golden view Health Care in Meredith, NH.
Edward (Eddie) was born on January 9, 1922 in Campton, NH the son of Oscar and Mae (Cote) Hodgson. He attended Plymouth High School and graduated in 1940.
He joined the Army after high school and was stationed at the Panama Canal during World War II. He ended his army career in 1949 with the rank of Corporal. He was employed by Fosters Daily Democrat in Dover, NH for over 30 years. Edward retired and returned to Campton, NH
Eddie's hobbies included; organic gardening, friends and neighbors enjoyed his fresh fruits and vegetables. He spent endless hours working with his hands. His largest project was his home which he built using resources from the land.
His family includes; his wife; Juanita Hodgson of Campton, NH, sister; Evelyn Palmer of Bridgewater, his children; Sheree Goldwyn of Windham, NH, Gary Hodgson of Somersworth, NH, Terri Wayne Hodgson of Somersworth, Tammi Ladrie of Somersworth, Alice Gibbs of Epping, NH and Kevin Sewall of New Durham, NH and his nine grandchildren.
His family would like to thank the staff of Golden view Health Care for their kind and compassionate care.
Per Eddies request there will be no formal services.
