Edward Paul Cote, Jr., of Campton, NH, passed away on October 22nd at the age of 90 at Golden View Health Care Center.
Ed graduated from Plymouth High School in 1949 and joined the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. He was forever extremely proud of his service in the Corps.
Ed had wide-ranging skills, working as a millhand, rock-drill operator, property maintainer and high voltage lineman. He was a master of anything he turned his hand to. Ed had many interests and hobbies, including clock repair, model airplane making, bottle digging and gardening. Ed resided in California for twenty years, where he delighted in panning gold and attending air shows - pursuing a lifelong interest in planes. He invented things, loved country-western music, and was a voracious reader. Those who knew Ed remember him as one of the great old-time Yankee storytellers, whose hilarious tales never grew old.
He was born at home in Campton on April 29, 1931, to Hattie and Edward P. Cote, Sr.
Ed was predeceased by his wife Leone A. Cote. He is survived by his sisters, Catherine Tucker of New Jersey and Pat Johnson of Campton, his daughters, Kathleen Blanchard and husband Tracy, Brenda Paradise and husband Michael, and Mary Cote and partner Ken Moak, stepchildren Brenda Bickford of Rhode Island, Pam Mayhew of Florida, Gordon Jones of California, Terry Jones of South Carolina, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There will be no services and a private burial will be held at Blair Cemetery in Campton.
